Cannot choose between consulting (market analyst) or central banking
Maybe it sounds far-fetched, but as a recent Economics graduate I cannot choose between two offers: Market Analyst at McKinsey or Economist at the European Central Bank. Could you please compare these two tracks?
I enjoy doing stats, modeling, some programing, therefore, central banking is perfect to me.
However, Market Analyst (Banking market sizing) position looks great as well at McKinsey, Panorama Team (link here is not allowed). They're deep into FinTech, BigData of Finance, etc. How much one can learn on the job? Or is this just about MS Excel and database expansion? After hearing the job description several time, I have still no clue what the reality is.
Thank you in advance!
Bump - I think you deserve some responses (btw, congrats on the offers).
