Citibank Commercial Banking Analyst Program
I recently came across this program (I was gonna put the link on but the website doesn't let me cuz I'm a noob :(
and I was wondering if anyone here have any experience or insights on commercial banking analyst
I'm very new to this field, so please excuse me if my questions sound stupid.
1. Does this program have high competition? I know it's going to be easier than IB, but since it's from Citibank, I'm kinda guessing the bar would be high. Would I need prior experiences such as summer internship to be accepted to this program?
2. Is this for after undergrad or during my 4th year? The description says it's for 4th college students, but I can't imagine having a full-time analyst position on top of taking courses
Can anyone help me on this? Thanks!
From my understanding, people recruited into the program were mostly from the top 25 UG. In regards to experiences, the analyst class was rather diverse in terms of experiences, but I would say majority had some finance-related experience under his/her belt.
Citi has a solid training program, so I would imagine recruiting to be relatively competitive. Also, the program tends to be for students that are going to graduate.
I have my super day coming up for 2016 program and i have heard its competitive- their program is 30 month rotational- for after graduation.
Hey I just interviewed at the super day for this position and was extended an offer the next day. I had a summer position with a competitor company. The position is a full-time offer AFTER graduation not during. I didn't feel that the interview was difficult at all, primarily behavioral questions. Know your resume and know your talking points and you'll be fine.
@smcintyre44 - Hi! I got the offer too! Do you have any idea of the salary and the perks? I was told I will get the offer letter next week since the process is still on.

Hey guys I just had an interview for Citi's commercial banking analyst program and wanted to know a bit more about the two groups in terms of description, comp, and exit opps.
The two groups are client coverage and cash & trade - (this a a rotational group between cash management and trade sales, implementation, product management and liability pricing and account analysis)
Any info would be great. Thanks
