Thank you! Would appreciate any more insight, but this is very helpful.

Depends on what type of HF. For distressed, credit, and hybrid investing (ie. Ares) RX is very strong. M&A is also great for L / S equity and applicable to equity PMs at MMs and M&A groups or CVP will both offer that technical skillset (can't really go wrong w CVP in my opinion).

VC is generally more random in terms of who gets to work there, but doing technology banking or M&A with a tech focus would be helpful to selling the story. I think VC is more about your soft skills though, but the world is so vast its tough to generalize

No first hand knowledge but I would assume if it’s FSG at a BB it would be a lot less applicable towards HF/VC since you’d be mainly working with PE shops so in that case Laz/Cvp might be a better option.

Centerview and Lazard will offer you a strong technical skillset and you'll get more in the weed of things. I would avoid CS with recent news and a shrinking investment bank (focus more on wealth management). Citi can be hit or miss depends on your group

With these choices go with Laz/CV or Citi M&A for best exits + options - agree with above to avoid CS ^ in terms of progressive outlook and business plan
