Common superday technicals ?

After initial phone screen technical rounds, does anyone have any insight on common SD technicals or what topics get focused in on typically ? I’m sure it’s group dependent but is there any consistent topics that many firms like to test for in SDs? BB / MM wise..

Thanks fellas

Did SA interviews at way too many firms. Common themes are basic accounting questions (how do statements connect, was only asked to walk through depreciation one time) and then valuation (What are the valuation methodologies, how do they work). Enterprise/Equity value also came up a lot. I expected them all to be much harder than they actually were.

If you were ready for phone screen technicals you're fine for SD technicals (90% of the time - 10% will be some hardo associate wanting to debate the merits of Black Scholes or something equally irrelevant to IB... can't prep for that). I know of a group that literally just hands their superday technicals person the M&I 400 as a questions list.

Just have the formulas 100% memorized since you can't reference a cheat sheet like you could on the phone.
