Comp Structures for start up GP Funds
Let's say you were going to join a newer fund what kind of comp structures would you suggest. The title would be analyst but as a newer employee on a track to have a big title in the future.
Just wanted to see what kind of structures you have seen. I have seen acq fees rolled into 10K chunks of equity in the GP for junior employees, Co-Invest in the LP and GP, Co-Invest + a loan from the corporate level, Vesting in total promote in every deal over a certain amount of time and would be curious which ones you guys would negotiate for or prefer if joining a newer fund.
