Corporate Development CRM

Hi everyone. I recently joined a relatively new corporate development team and one of our goals is to find and begin implementing a CRM tool that hopefully we can scale as our team / function continues to grow. Right now the team is running everything out of Excel and Word for notes.

We'd basically be using the CRM to manage our pipeline (e.g., target contacts, notes on conversations with targets, deal stages, etc.). My manager wants me to see if there's a free tool that we can use that can scale with us where we can pay for more functionality later on. I'm not sure if there's a free CRM tool that can help us accomplish our goals, but I'd imagine there's some tools that are $50 a month that could be useful. After looking over some previous threads I've heard Cloze, Hubspot, and Salesforce recommended a few times.

Any recommendations / thoughts? Thanks!

No free tool but the top three are Midaxo, Deal Cloud, and Navatar. We use Navatar, the license is costly, but it is by far the best from sourcing, pre-diligence, modeling, diligence, to integration - It is a full M&A cycle.

If you are looking for a purely contact management and deal tracking tool, Made Market is another tool. Again, it is more than $50 though.
