CS Prime Brokerage

Anyone have any insights on PB at CS? I know they strong in this field but I want to know more about what specific areas of PB where they excel. If it helps, I'm most interested in the securities lending and capital introduction aspects of PB.

thanks guys

Ideally I'd like to get in 1) Securities Lending or 2) Capital Introduction 3) Origination/Sales

These seem to be the Front Office type roles. Ideally I'd get into Origination or Cap Intro. I feel like I'd excel more in a salesy type of role like these.

Also, I'm asking this because I'm meeting with an SVP this weekend. I'm trying to learn as much about the division as possible, because I'm not exactly sure what he does. I have no background info about what role he has ( Client relations, cap intro etc) or on what side ( Equity or Fixed Income)

If you don't mind me asking, what did your father do within PB at Credit Suisse?

He was involved with securities lending, still is but not with CS. As far as I'm aware, the only portion that hedge funds actually pay attention to with a potential prime broker, is IT, which makes sense, since there is a lot of risk that occurs when some code goes wrong, etc. Also, the individuals who actually connect with the hedge fund clients, do not really do anything technical. They just play gulf with the hedge fund managers.
