Currently a Freshman with a decent gpa I have a nyc internship coming up with a family firm. My goal is IB what should I start doing to get ahead?

What should I do for technicals / interview prep and networking? Or anything else that will help me land a good IB internship next year. Also in NYC area

IB internship as a freshman is very impressive. You're already way ahead of the pack. Assuming that by decent GPA you mean 3.5+ and you go to a good school, you will check every box on paper. Now it really just comes down to how you present yourself and how well you can think on the spot. Keep networking and get comfortable with speaking.
