Deloitte Consulting internship before joining MFE?

I am a newbie on this forum, so please excuse me for any potential indiscretion.

I am a recent graduate on a gap year before joining one of the top-tier MFE programs. As an undergrad, I have majored in mathematics and physics with little exposure to finance. After failing a handful of interviews from top-notch IBs and consulting firms, I was offered an internship position from Deloitte Consulting FSG(Financial Services Group).

Do you guys think it will be helpful experience in terms of enhancing my general ability and building my career? At the moment, I intend to work as a quant or the like after obtaining the MFE. Any comment will be greatly appreciated!

If that's your only option, yes, it will definitely help rather than hurt.
