Denver Real Estate
Hello,
Considering migrating to Denver in the next 9 months. Curious if anyone is familiar with the market place out there and can suggest some RE firms to look into. Has anyone done business out there and can recommend some firms with solid reputations? Thanks everyone!
What kind of RE firms?
Sorry the delayed response. Was think developer or PE side.
McWhinney, Hines, Beacon, Zeppelin Development
For multi (certainly not an exhaustive list);
Owners * Griffis * UDR * EQR * AIMCO * Carmel (also dev.) * Simpson * Grand Peaks (Simpson kids) * AMLI (also dev.)
Developers * Holland * Mill Creek * Wood Partners * TCR * McWhinney
Brokers (in order of strength IMO) * ARA * HFF * JLL * CBRE
forgot Cardinal Group
Thanks, this is helpful to start. Thanks again.
Holy shiz you’re a legend.
I'm looking at moving to Denver as well, thank you so much for the info!
I would add Continuum Partners to the list. Extremely active development company specializing in urban infill mixed-use projects. They're the group behind the Union Station redevelopment.
Check out Black Creek Group. Never worked with them directly but have heard good things
Piggy backing here.
Anyone have any intel on Austin developers?
Off the cuff... * Endeavor * Cielo Property Group * Cypress (CREA) * Trammel Crow Company * TCR * Wood Partners * Streetlights * Dinerstein * CWS * Oden Hughes * Hanover * Gables * JCI * Larry Peel * Riverside Resources * Alliance * Greystar * Ardent * Stonelake * Greenbelt Commercial * Brandywine * Stream Realty (Hooters site)
I know there are few ex-UT guys around here who can weigh in as well.
You're missing the most prestigious, profitable, and well known Austin developer of them all...
Stretching "Denver" a bit - East West Partners is a great organization, based in Avon
Partners
Awesome thanks everyone.
Anyone ever deal with Bow River Capital? I've seen their name on a few job boards.
Tangential, but I'm curious man, why Denver? Not trying to poop on Denver, but (edit: lots of people want to leave Denver) and it's very expensive to buy a small 1950's ranch the color of dirt. I considered moving there myself a couple yearsago but stayed east, have you spent some time there? Have you looked into Salt Lake City instead? It's got the mountains and climate but a better quality of life.
Definitely not decreasing in population. Has one of the fastest growth rates in the nation and recently picked back up. One of the best places in the country to get into real estate.

Whoops, I was thinking of an article I read that said Denver was one of the top 5 metros people are looking to leave, not actually a net outflow yet. Colorado is a great state, I just found the city of Denver disappointing, especially for the price point. I'd be interested in good reasons to move somewhere besides the fact that lots of other people are moving there.
*Denver ranked No. 5 behind San Francisco (1), New York (2), Los Angeles (3), and Washington, D.C. In the Mile High City's case, people are fleeing the ridiculous housing market and wages that aren't rising anywhere near fast enough to keep people afloat. * https://ourcommunitynow.com/lifestyle/people-are-eager-to-leave-denver-…
