Did I make a mistake with group selection for SA?

I'm an incoming SA at a BB and recently was asked to indicate my group preferences. My options were FSG and the generalist program. I wanted a broader experience, so I went with the generalist program. However, looking at 2022 deal activity (may be wrong here), I think that FSG is one of the groups that may continue to see strong deal volumes in 2022 (given the amt of dry powder by PE / Sponsors), which is likely a positive for return offer rates. For the generalist program, I believe that the BB may just place me in an industry group/team that has some demand for interns (not too sure on that at the moment), which can be bad if the industry group is experiencing low deal flow.

Do you guys think that I made the wrong choice by choosing generalist over FSG specifically when it pertains to potential FT return offer rates?

Thanks!
