Didn't Land a Summer Internship. Now What?

I wasn't able to land a summer internship this year. For context, I am heading into senior year, so I am worried about the implications of this. I applied to well over fifty banks and companies, as well as networked with alumni whenever I could. I could most likely reach out to the company I interned with last year, but it is not in my desired industry nor the type of internship (basically cold-calling and sales) that I was looking for. I could also work over the summer, not in an internship, and start applying for fall semester internships. I would really appreciate any guidance from anyone who's been in a similar situation. Thank you in advance for any advice.

What type of school do you go to? What is your background? GPA, Internships, Major

I would recommend trying to call some PWM offices that are located near you. I know there are some still recruiting for 2021.
