Different applications, different recommendations?

Hi all,

Like most people, I will be applying to a couple of schools later this year for my masters. In general, each school needs like 2 academic references.

Do you guys know if the online recommendations my references have to write are fairly similar for most schools? ( thinking B-schools in Europe, LSE/HEC etc) So they could basically write one recommendation, copy it and change it a little bit depending on the school. Cause otherwise you need like 6 professors to write you a recommendation, which is obviously a lot.

Hey dude, weeeell, unfortunately, for an MBA pretty much every school asks their own questions, so they do have to write a separate recommendation for each one, and submit each recommendation separately. Thankfully, the questions tend to be very similar in nature, so with a bunch of cutting and pasting, they will likely only need to answer one new question in each recommendation, so hopefully that will not be too much...

One other thing, if you are applying for an MBA (and not another Masters), you probably should not be using an academic reference (unless it is specifically asked for). Professional references are generally preferred.
