Distance restrictions for Uber/car home at night
Hi y'all, when working late, most banks I know allow you to take a car/uber/taxi home at night and then you get reimbursed. Is there a restriction on the distance you could get the car? Say you lived 30-40 min outside the city in westchester, will banks reimburse you?
I think that depends on the bank. I'd say if they have a problem with it, but don't explicitly have it written somewhere, they'd let you know after honoring it that once.
My firm regularly reimburses one of our accountants who lives an hour away.
Assuming you work for a BB or EB, they should be fine with it. There was an MD that worked at the BB I was at who lived in CT and would always expense his cars back and forth. At the end of the day, they’re just going to pass the cost through to the client
