Does previous application record matter?
Hey folks I just had a question came in my mind: Many firms would say something like: "We would keep your record and encourage you to reapply in another academic year" in their rejection letters. So would last year's record really matter? For example, if I did extremely bad for one firm last year for early-insight programs in hirevue but I did well this year for SA. Will the recruiting team even look at the previous record? Desperate to know and thanks in advance.
(I would assume NO because of the massive amount of applications and probably a different recruiting team but just to make sure)
I got my current job through reapplying the following year. They remembered me and saw improvement.
I also have contacts who asked me to keep up next year. I dont think it would be an issue unless you had a spectacularly bad interview
