are you looking to wear these with a suit or more casual wear (slacks/khakis)

go with oxfords with a suit (lace-ups) Allen edmonds park avenue -the best, but expensive johnston and murphy melton- less expensive

if you are looking for loafers, ferragamo cancun are really nice as are ferragamo anthony (driver moccasins, much more casual)

look around and maybe you will find some good deals

I'd suggest checking out nordstrom rack if there's one near you. There is a variety of decent looking shoes there that are of average or better than average quality, and all fairly cheap. I bought some light brown dress shoes from there (with the paisley design or whatever etched into them) and have been wearing them occasionally for the past 3 years. Might not be prestigious enough for the wall street oasis crowd, but some of the shoes there actually look good.
