Trying to make a career change from brokerage so this is big for me, anything shared will be very appreciated.
"Trying to make a career change from brokerage". You do realize Eastdil is a brokerage shop... unless you're talking about their IB group. IB team is very small... maybe 10 in NY... and another few in SF. Top of the industry. On almost every big Real Estate M&A/Sponsor deal. Tough interviews firm-wise... can really vary.
Yeah what I meant was I'm looking for a more analyst role as opposed to a full CM role with the goal of transitioning to acquisitions on the principal side. I feel like this role is an important steppingstone for that because I can get the analyst training and build some strong relationships with their clients who pick off like 90% of ex-Eastdil analysts.
