Engineer wondering 2009 Banking Recruitment
I'm assuming that the recruitment process for next summer is going to be brutal, with few slots and a lot of applicants.
I'm a Cornell Engineer with a 3.7 GPA, finance club positions, and am doing research in the MBA school. This summer I have a PWM opportunity and the opportunity to do research with a guy who is a pretty big deal in finance related academia.
Which one sets me up better for recruitment this fall/winter? I feel that the PWM thing is bs, but it's all I got this year.
Thanks
THe PWM shows you can deal with people. The research is strong because of the work you will do and if the guy is a pretty recognized figure I would say go for it. I know a few guys in PWM and it's a hit and miss.
With your stats you should be fine for next year.
