ER Interview with Associate Director - After 2 years
Just found out I got an interview with an Associate Director of a large bank this week. The funny thing is that I interviewed with him 2 years ago while I was in a Big 4 and studying for the CFA L2. Now I'm in a F500 FP&A role and a CFA Charterholder.
Looking back, he asked some questions that I really struggled with in the interview. I was told it wouldn't be technical and it was the week of the CFA exam so I didn't prepare a pitch (bad idea, I know) and he asked me "What can you tell me that others don't already know, what can you add that isn't in the newspapers?" basically asking for my insight. I fumbled out an answer but it wasn't well done...How can I answer something like that?
This time I have a stock pitch prepared from a 3-statement model that I made last month for a ticker outside the sector that the role would be for...is this a good idea? My work experience is directly related to the sector the opportunity is for so I think it could demonstrate that I have a diverse skillset.
Really appreciate any tips you guys might have!
