Expertise request for eventually getting in on wall street.

Salutations Fellow Monkeys. Quick background on myself before we get into it.

I attended SUNY Delhi for two years and received an associates in Business Administration.

I am Currently attending SUNY Plattsburgh and I am majoring in Finance.

Interned for a small PEO firm last summer in Saratoga. During the internship I did a lot of financial analysis via excel.

Recently took the GMATS and Received a 680.

Here is my Story:
I transferred into the school of business at Plattsburgh upon completion of my associates in business administration at Delhi. I have known that I wanted to be on wall street my whole life. I have an account that I day trade for beer money on the weekends and I am fascinated with Financial analysis. I know everyone says that but for me its more of an addiction. On my typical mornings I can be seen eating breakfast with my headphones in streaming Bloomberg on my laptop. If you talk to me about anything related finance I can talk your ear off. Im not talking about your typical hey what stock do you like, I mean if you sat me down and asked me about discounted cash flows, income statements, balance sheets, Free cash flows, effects of interest rates, ill talk you ear off for the next half hour about not only what it is and what its used for but its disadvantages compared to other methods of evaluation. As me about a company and give me five minutes and a laptop and ill tell you everything you need to know to make an informed decision. Currently i'm gearing myself more into research on currency and emerging markets because those are my weakest areas of expertise. Financial analysis and excel are both things that I love about my major. Anytime we have to conduct analysis on a company Ill start it that night, even giving up a weekend of partying with my fellow degenerate fraternity brothers because quite honestly, I feel way more accomplished staying up staying up until 4am doing a project with excel because number one, I truly enjoy doing it and number two the feeling of busting ass then being able to present knowing anything anyone can possibly ask, I think that's a little cooler than all the drinking and debochery I engaged in as a freshman and sophomore.

Heres the uphill battle. Aside from not being from a target school and having a junior summer internship that was from a no name Professional employment firm in upstate NY. MY GPA kind of sucks right now. Last year I got sick. I mean really sick. Going to the hospital twice a week, going to sleep worried if I was going to wake up sick. I didn't tell many people about it because I didn't want to be treated differently, but that's either here nor there. My GPA dropped all the way down to a 2.0 by the end of my junior year. Im busting my ass trying to raise it back up. After re taking two courses this summer its up to a 2.5. On top of my senior course load im retaking a couple of the lower courses, and I plan to do the same next semester. I think by semester end I will be around a 2.8 and maybe by the end of next semester be at a 3.0. SUNY Albany said they would accept me into the MBA program because of my gmat score and disregard my bad GPA.

Im doing everything I can to get myself out there. I have been aggressively networking for the past year or so via linkedin, reaching out to alumni and researching boutiques and firms on the web and talking to anyone who will email me back or talk to me on the phone. I understand RIGHT NOW I may not be the most ideal candidate but im doing everything in my power to change that.

My question to you is:
What should I do next, how do I proceed?

Should I go to grad school at U Albany, or work at metlife for a while, both?

If I get the 3.5+ at Albany that I should have had here will that get me in somewhere on wall street?

Im not looking to work for a huge investment bank although that is the dream, Is it possible to go from a small boutique to an IB?

Im not putting this out there for people to tell me whats not possible or to not even try. If you have any negativity about my goals you can post that somewhere else because I am not the type of person that will stop trying until I reach my goals, I am simply requesting expertise and possible plans of action from anyone who is decent enough to hear my story and lend a few moments of their time to my ambitions.

Thank you for your time.
