EY FSO Tech. Advisory Program Interview/Case

Hi guys,

I have a super day coming up next week at EY. I was wondering what is the best way to practice case studies (specifically IT/Tech within financial services). Any go-to books/sites for case studies in general? I am brand new to this process so any guidance is greatly appreciated, Thanks!

I'm actually doing tech consulting for financial services at a Big 4 this summer (not EY but I imagine the process is similar). Not sure if you know the case already but have a good understanding of technology that's been mentioned in the news a lot (Big Data, IT Security) and think of systems/software that can you apply to the case. Since it's for financial services, pick established software not some brand new startup tech or open source apps. Financial Services companies are more conservative in what systems they use.

The question will most likely be along the lines of what XYZ technology what you use to solve ______ problem, why did you choose that, and how would you go about implementing it. The main goal is share your thought process, the interviewer just wants to see that you can think logically.

Tech advisory case interviews tend to be less quantitative compared to management consulting ones. I would look over some basic business stuff (cost-benefit, ROI) just in case. As for sites and books, managementedconsulted.com or the book Case in Point for prep.

I interned in the Toronto office FSI - which is the canadian version, if you have any questions you can PM me. I also know some people in FSO NYC.

Can anybody send me any information they have on the BAP program, please? I am trying to compile information on FT BAP as I am considering it as a career path. Thank you.

FYI I heard that they are not hiring anyone else for the BAP program and they haven't hired any experienced hires into the program in a couple years
