EY TAS - Business modeling % Valuation vs. Corporate Banking Analyst
Quick background:
I graduated from a non-target with a BBA about 6 months ago and currently work in the Corporate Banking Division as an Analyst at a Regional Bank with about ~$70bn in assets. Recently, I was offered to interview for EY's TAS - Valuation and Business Modeling division. My end goal is to get an Analyst position at a Boutique IB. I am currently doing BIWS modeling courses and beginning to network.
My Question:
What position would give me the best shot at moving into IB? I feel like the EY job would be more aligned with IB, and could give me the "brand name" I'd need to get a Top MBA if I can't get into IB as an analyst - I don't think my regional banks name is good enough for a Top 10 school even if I were to get a 700+ on the GMAT (which I believe I can). - already lacking with a non-target undergrad.
