FIG to Corp Strat?

I’m currently a first year associate in fig covering pretty much everything except banks. A recruiter reached out to me the other day about a Corp Strat role at a large asset manager. The group is small and the pay seems high. I originally planned on staying in ib for awhile and attempting to make it to a Hf but I know that’s a hard part post mba. This role is enticing and the hours would be much better. They also have a history picking people out of corp Strat to run departments.

would I be dumb to not pursue this? Or is Corp Strat easy to get?
