Financial Analyst Entry Level

Hello All,

I was curious if anyone knew the going rate for a entry level Financial Analyst position, this is with 0 expierence. the catch is I have an MBA, graduate in July. I think it is right around 50K but not 100% sure, this is for the Philadelphia area, JFK Blvd to be exact. Thanks for the imput.

Also was curious if anyone has heard of or knows anyone that works at Cross Mediaworks? It used to be TelAmerica but was purchased. They are a Broadcast Media company, about 250 employees.

Thanks everyone

Thank you for the great response...

There are many different types of "financial analysts". Front office finance fresh out of undergrad at a bank usually starts around $60-70k base + bonus (% heavily dependent on the group within the bank where you work; IBD could give you a 100% bonus whereas other areas could give you 10-20%).

corporate finance (which is what I think you're asking about) pays less. Out of undergrad I'd guess around $50-60k all in. Considering you have 0 experience, I wouldn't assume your MBA will help much with the salary.

I got my MBA right after undergrad (Got it fully paid for reason I did it) and yeah I been applying around and latest interview guy said it paid arund 45K plus bonus. I thought it was low but wasnt sure because of the no expierence factor.

It jsut sucks because I erally want to be a Financial Analyst and everything I find is for a FA II or they want 3-5 years even for a FA I... I feel like there is no true Entry Level FA positions out there. Any help where I could possibly apply

I have a 3.5 at Widener Univerity ( I know no one has heard of it, smaller private school near Philly)

Wow, $45k is shitty.

You're dead wrong that there aren't any entry level finance positions. Many fortune 500 companies have FLDP programs (finance leadership development) in which you gain experience rotating around the different groups within the finance division. These positions are straight out of undergrad/mba.

Those programs recruit on differing schedules so do some research and search around this site, you'll find a lot of info.
