Financial analyst jobs work hours in non-finance industry
Hello everyone!
I am Jefferey. I am quite interested in becoming a financial analyst. I'd like to ask some questions and info from you guys. A million thanks!
I'd like to work a job that has great work life balance like 40 hours a week. Because I want to take time caring for my kids.
If I choose to be a financial analyst in non-finance industry like Fedex, 7-11, or Amazon, will it be possible for me to work for standard work hours like about 40 hours a week? Lower annual salary like 50,000 will be fine.
Or you guys could suggest other finance job that requires only standard hours.
A million thanks!
jkhappy, shame nobody has responded. Maybe one of these topics will help:
I hope those threads give you a bit more insight.
Companies in growth mode (ex. Amazon) will pay higher, but work/life balance will not be as good. I would target mature, F500 type companies. They tend to have great work/life balance, and decent pay. Most Financial Analysts should come in starting around $50k, at those companies.
Certain Government jobs. Pay isn’t half bad, benefits are great, hours are short and work life balance is awesome. Can be mundane from what I hear, but will allow you a lot of time with your kids. Like financial planning for a city/ county.
