Had an initial phone screen with HR yesterday with a regional bank in the southeast. I was expecting non-technical questions and was kind of thrown off when I was asked 10 technical questions in a row. I was able to answer them all correctly but with some hesitation and obviously not as well if I had been prepared. My question is how much weight does this interview hold? Are they just asking these questions to check the boxes on whether you have a general idea about what you are talking about?
