Fordham Gabelli MSGF: it worth?

In the heart of NYC, and from what I saw on LinkedIn with a decent placement.
I know, Fordham isn't an ivy league.

The question is: as international student, the master in global finance worth?

Compared to an Eu uni it cost a lot more money.
On the other hand they offer position as graduate assistantship and scholarship.

I think I'll also try to apply at UTA and Vandy. But NYC is NYC..

What's your thoughts? Advice?

Cheers

Was also considering this a year or two down the road as an option. For me it's nyc or bust so I'd pick Fordham over southern schools if nyu columbia arent option for me. I know some people from their MBA program, placement didn't seem great.

I'm just planning on finishing CFA and going from there for now, Fordham does have a good network though. It seems like just one of those schools that you will have to be pretty ambitious to place well coming out though. Like I said I know some really talented people from their MBA class that had to take on recruiting with little help from the school and had trouble with IB in particular.

the problems they face was simply breaking in. Fordham has a good network but not so much in BB IB, OCR isn't great for IB, so it's a lot of reaching out and praying or just applying like everyone else. I had one friend who was able to get into a small boutique by cold emailing an alum and after interning there for a year during school was offered FT but was def a grind and he didn't have interview progress with any other firm. I think if you already have an analyst stint under you things would obviously be easier, but it didn't seem like many students there had IB backgrounds
