Hi everyone,
I am Alex and I am a new member of our society. I always wanted a job with budget monitoring tasks, financial decisions making, etc (More like owning the financial aspect of a product/brand). I have worked for 13 months in BIG 4 company as audit assistant. Then a big company made me an offer for accounting assistan job for nearly 40% more money.
I have been working in this job for 5 months now and I really think the job is boring. In future I want to transfer to a job like the one i described earlier. I think that the best I have to do is to stay in this job for 2 years. What you would advise me in order to be ready in two years to look for a job like this. I have bachelor in Finance and an MBA. I am looking for extra courses( Coursera i.e ) or even a certification (CMA, ACCA, CFA). Also, a job in demand planning would help? Or Marketing?

It sounds like your goal is FP&A. If that's the case, then you probably won't need to do much other than stay in your current role for a couple years and then switch. Many auditors exit to financial auditors in industry after a few years.

apply for financial analyst positions. your experience is very relevant to FP&A and you should have no problems getting interviews. with an MBA and Big4 experience, you’ll likely stand out among other candidates applying for those roles
You have the experience so you should just apply.
just curious, did you leave before Senior promotion? I’m in a situation where I’m ready to jump, but not sure if it’s worth it to grind out 70 hour weeks for the next 7 months to get the promotion.
Hi my friend and sorry for the delay. Yes I left without senior belt. All the seniors I cooperated with assured me that if I had stayed, I would be senior in next summer but I left. I do not know if my decision was right. The wage increase was really big and the company has very good reputation. I think that in every environment there is room for advancement and I have understood that you cannot organise everything. Whatever you need you can contact with me.
