FT Recruiting Technicals
Hey guys, just wondering what to expect in terms of technicals when recruiting for FT IB 2021. Are they the same technicals as for SA? Is there a modeling test? For context, I have relevant finance experience but no prior IB experience. Thanks in advance!
Really depends on the firm - I would say have the same prep but go more in depth. Like dont just know how to do a DCF but also how every single component comes together and forms the larger picture.
Not the same technicals, typically more in depth and more fringe topics. The guides still cover most of it, just need to actually understand all the topics. Some firms do have a modeling test.
+1 Thanks
Also, sorry if this is a dumb question but do you have an example of what would be considered a fringe topic?
