Full Time analyst position starting January 2019

Hey all,

I am a Masters student at an Ivy graduating on December 2018, and I'm looking for a full time analyst position starting January 2019.

I know this is not a common situation, which is why I have some questions about the recruitment process:
1. Are there any analyst position openings for a start date on January 2019?
2. If so, when would the recruitment process take place? For which banks?
3. If not, how could I do not to lose 6 months of my time between January 2019 and the usual start date of full time analysts?

Any comments and insights is welcome,

Thanks for your help guys!

I'm not aware of any set BB programs in the United State that start in January. Perhaps at a foreign bank but, I'm not aware of any. I don't think this would be too big of an issue at a MM bank or boutique shop.

Assuming your goal is to be at a BB These could be options, 1) Once you land the FT offer explain your situation to HR and see if early placement could be a possibility. 2) Use those 6 months to work at a boutique or MM bank as an intern explaining your situation beforehand. Most banks could use an extra hand especially if you don't require too much training. 3) My advice would be to take those 6 months and relax man. If you're strapped for cash do what you have to do. But, if you have a little bit of money take some trips (Euro-trip, Asia-trip, Road-trip, maybe even a month straight of spring break), realize that your life will pretty much end once you start FT. If anything, use those 6 months to brush up on your skills and study for the S63 and S79.

Thank you for your response 93and63!

I think I will try the option 1 you mentioned because I am already 25 years old due to extended studies so I wish I could start working asap.

Regarding the series you mention (63 and 79), do you think it will be mandatory for me to do them? How difficult are they? How long to prepare?

Thanks for your help!
