Georgetown MSF program scam

For anyone looking at Georgetown's MSF program, as an alumni of their fourth cohort, I can say that this program is an absolute scam. Georgetown as a whole is great, but the MSF program director is not an educator- he's a business man who is concerned with his career and the media generated by his program.

Sorry to hear about your experience.

The program has a rep of being a total cash cow program for the Uni. Unfortunately one of many great Unis that have these expensive programs designed to lure full paying students (often int'l students who just want the parent Uni brand) and provide a weak experience / lackluster OCR / dismal placement / limited alumni network.

Hopefully you got something out of the program.

You are right. I recently was looking into the program, and realized that it was going to be a completely online program, regardless of whether you select the part time or full time program. Seems like a cash grab to me. I will pass on it. Looking at UMD Smith, NYU and Vandy for Master of finance
