Getting Smart on RE Cap Markets
Hey Monkeys - I've frequented this site as a reader, but this is my first time posting.
I have minimal RE experience (10 week IB internship at BB within RE Group). Networked and have an interview for an RE Capital Markets role selling loans on the secondary market. I am pretty foreign to the cap markets side of RE and was hoping someone could walk me through how they'd recommend getting pretty smart on this topic in a timely fashion.
I understand this is a super broad ask but any insight would be greatly appreciated (articles, prior posts on the topic, personal experiences, etc).
Set up phone calls, lunches, coffees, etc with anyone in capital markets (especially loan sales) that is willing to share their time with you. As a student you'll be welcomed to ask questions and the more you discuss the topic the more comfortable you'll become.
Thanks for the help here
Want to bump this once heading into the weekend. Specifically looking for technicals that are worth reading up on in the loan capital markets space.
