Going from studying in London, to working in wallstreet

Hello,
I've applied to NYU Stern and unfortunately I was rejected. Because of this, I'm thinking of staying in London and applying to LSE. My dream is to work on Wall Street, but I'm scared that by staying in London that door might close. Is this true? I was also thinking about after getting my Bachelor's (Accounting and Finance) in London, doing a Master's (Finance) in New York. Is this a good idea? I'm really worried about this. This rejection really got me off guard. Thanks for the help : )

If you have a US passport then you can recruit for US positions, but you will be at a disadvantage compared to people who are already in the US, assuming you study at LSE You can do a master in the US but recruiting from masters for undergrad positions in the US is not common but doable. Alternatively, you can work a few years in a BB in LDN and then transfer to NY or another location.

Thanks a lot! Bearing that in mind, I think I'm now aiming for a transfer to NY. It's my first day in this website, I'm surprised how helpful and quick the community is.

Relatively easy to transfer within a BB in London to the NY Office.

There is no need to do a MSc. in Finance in NY, pretty widely known that Masters in the US are not valued the same way they are in EMEA.

Best bet is to go to a Target in the UK, get into a BB, transfer within a few years (if lucky, could be as little as 1 year).
