GS TMT/FIG vs PJT RSSG vs Evercore M&A, BY EASE OF RECRUITING
How would you compare these in terms of first-year analyst's ability to recruit for MFs? Everyone knows that these are the best places to recruit from, but I was wondering in terms of culture (do senior management support recruiting and will go to bat for juniors), how do these rank?
How good are exits from GS FIG? Doesn't the industry pigeonhole?
There are a bunch of threads on this but the general consensus is FIG does pigeon-hole you to some extent, but GS FIG is just so fucking good that they have great exit opps.

I know that GS used to have a terrible reputation for firing analyst if they found out they were buy-side recruiting. I don't know if that changed much but you'll be able to get interviews at any fund you want at those GS groups and Evercore. PJT is probably a step below since their spinoff but you'd honestly just be splitting hairs. I would go with your gut feeling and what you're interested in (industry banking, M&A, RX). If exit opps is a factor that is just stupid.
That's interesting, I've heard of similar things about GS. I'm curious of independent firms like Evercore truly are as well-regarded as the old-timers like GS.
