Guidance with 2nd round of VC internship interview

I am waiting to hear back on whether I get final round for VC internship. I was asked in previous round to expand further on the companies I selected and analysed in initial round/application. Interviewer didn't spend too much time on that question, so my response was not that detailed.

Talked with an alum (VC partner, different firm) about the possibility of sending an email with a more detailed analysis of the companies. He said it would benefit my application/chances so long as the quality of the work product was high. Told me to create a 5-slide deck or write a word doc.

Any advice/tips/suggestions would be appreciated. Both on whether I should send this additional email (I already sent one thanking the interviewer for their time), and if so, what I should cover in my analysis (the companies I had chosen were all early-stage).
