How challenging is it to be happy in banking? Do you enjoy working with the other analysts and build enough close relationships to make it a solid experience?
I guess another question would be are you able to not feel lonely because you have other friends you work with?
Does this vary Bank to Bank?

Maybe it’s challenging since its at times a tough job but definitely possible. People wouldn’t last a day if they weren’t even at least a little bit happy. You are being paid relatively well in terms of being able to support yourself hopefully and live in a nice area if you want, get meals, have nice clothes hopefully, working on interesting projects/ deals (even if at times and/or most of the time the day to day is grunt work), have friends and colleagues to work with, and potentially have a bright future career ahead of you. That said, easier said than done! The job can be horribly miserable at times and people here can throw so much MS at how bad of a job it is and maybe there isn’t even enough MS here for how bad the job can be. Hopefully if you want to go in it or are in it you are overall happy with it. Def varies place to place and person to person. Those who end up not being happy in it can / eventually do leave and/or find a good solution for the most part. Unfortunately there are tragedies that happen every now and then but hopefully those are the vast exceptions and not the mainstream…
