Hey all - I was looking for some advice as to whether it would be worthwhile for me to re-apply for HBS (and potentially GSB). For context, I applied last cycle with a top 50 school, 760 GMAT, two solid-ish reccs. I spent a fair bit of time on the materials but think that maybe I did not do a good enough job on making my "story" clear when looking at the full set of materials for each application.
I decided to not apply to Wharton last cycle as I thought the network was not worth the cost & income lost. I am wondering whether I should instead try to apply again next year. I can likely get better reccs (including at least 1 partner who is an HBS grad), on GMAT score I will need to retake (but my "baseline" test was 710, so think with some decent prep I can match or beat my prior score). I asked my admission consultant and he said I was a good candidate but likely just "lost the number game". A couple other folks in my network also recommended I try again.
Any view by this beautiful forum as to whether it is worthwhile for me to reapply? Would attempting to do so be sensible or should I face reality that I already got rejected and reapplying is a pointless project?
Question: Is your 760 expiring? Or are you projecting a 760 for next year and this year applied with a 710. Sorry, it's just not clear to me.

Sorry for not being more clear. My 760 score is expiring as I took it senior year in college. I started studying again for the GMAT 2 days ago and took a practice test to serve as a "base line" to measure my progress. I got a 710 on this "base line" test, for which I did no studying, so I am hopeful that I can get a 760+ with some studying / prep.
