Help me decide between EB versus BB
Planning to lateral from a decent MM firm to a EB or BB as an associate, will see myself becoming a VP. May consider going into buyside if opportunity presents at the VP level or even move to corp dev for better WL. Can people weigh in on the comparison between EB (defined for the purpose of this post as being only Evercore, Moelis, PWP, Lazard, PJT, Greenhill and Rothschild) vs BB excluding DB. Can someone shed some some light and rank these firms in terms of best hour and culture? Should I assume that most EB will pay more than BB? Does the total comp among EB varies a lot?
.
Pathetic man, this guy is trying to sell me a mentorship service for lateral associate, when you're an analyst lol. Please tell me in public what value you can provide.
Would probably take an EB over any BB besides GS (shifted their pay mentality and gave monster bonuses last year). I would probably choose GS > EB's > BB's but I am also biased as I chose GS over an EB when recruiting for SA.
At the associate level culture and the team matter way more because you are staying presumably for longer than 2 years, so between the EB's find one where you like the people.
How can you tell if someone works for GS? You don’t need to, they will tell you.
