Help- what to do with a low g.p.a and business degree from a prestigious university?

Hey so I am a senior at the George Washington School of Business and I desperately need help and advice with the job search and applying to graduate school. I spend the first two years of my academic career at Northern Virginia Community College and was accepted into the George Washington School of Business. I studied abroad at Yale University for two months and then started at George Washington in the Spring of 2017. I have been interested in applying to the Yale Silver Scholars program and as such I decided to take a lot of credits so that I could leverage my competitive chances and also so that I could simply graduate on time- graduate no later than Fall 2018. Unfortunately, I did not do as well as I wanted to re and am incredibly worried I will not be able to get a job after college because of my under performance. I ultimately want to get an M.B.A at my dream school Yale SOM but realistically I am worried that I will not even manage to get a good job with my grades. Also, I sat for the GMAT and scored well enough to get into George Washington's M.B.A program but I am still not satisfied with my score and will be retaking it in December. Anyways, my primary concern is how can I overcome a low g.p.a and secure a solid job if I don't get in? If I don't get in I would like to work at a solid firm and try to apply again. I know George Washington isn't a super prestigious school like Wharton or M.I.T but is there still a chance for me? Also, my parents both earned a masters at the George Washington School of Business so I feel like I would also be letting them down if I do not get into a top ten school and or get a really good job. I am also very worried that my ethnic background will be a disadvantage as I am half Indian and Chinese. Please help.

First - Paragraphs in your writing.

Second - I think the majority would say not to pursue the MBA for now, and go network either on OCR (On-Campus Recruiting) or reach out to past Alumni via LinkedIn or some other Social Media connection.

Third - Do not live up to their expectations, but live by what you want to do and see yourself doing. If you keep measuring yourself against others, I don't think you will ever be happy young man, this is solely from my experience and what I have been through.

4th - May the "force" be with you.

No pain no game.

I guess what I mean to say is that going to that school has been a childhood dream and the fact that my parents got a masters from a good school has strongly encouraged me to pursue this dream; however, I am seriously willing to do whatever it takes to get into Yale SOM. I don't care about Stanford, HBS , Wharton, etc.. Yale SOM is my dream school and the only schools I plan to apply to are Georgetown Mcdonough, George Washington and Yale SOM.

Not as impressive as "I think?" Can you show where I have made some statement about how I highly I regard my own background? That's a pretty bold statement man. I am simply asking for information - so how can you can accuse me of having an inflated view of own background? That's why I said "not super impressive." And I'm getting a bachelors of business administration.

You said GW was a prestigious school. Is it even top 50, bro? Don't fool yourself.

You're just arrogant. You're so full of it and you think George whatever you call it is a prestigious school? Why do you come here if you're not going to listen to people's advice and comments? We're not your parents and we're not going to sugarcoat it for you.

Nobody important or decent in finance knows your school. Your attitude is all that's shown which is why you won't get into a top MBA program. You lack the drive and desire. You don't work hard, you have a sub 3.0. At a state school? You have no jobs.

Go ahead and say whatever you want that helps you sleep at night, that "George whateverthisstateschooliscalled is prestigious" and "haha sucker you'll still say that when i get into my dream school" but the truth of the matter is you're a nobody. There's 30+ schools on top of you with thousands of students who want to get MBA's and will fight against you for finance. Thats thousands of people ahead of you. You won't even get looked at because of your GPA for most reputable firms.

My advice for you is to learn when to talk and to shut up because you're all talk but nothing to back yourself up. You came here for help and start telling people how great your school is and how you'll get into your dream school. Nobody here cares and the fact is you're just have that inferiority complex and insecurities, so learn to have some respect for people and learn to work hard in life. Getting onto the street isn't easy. To get into a top MBA you're going to need years of work experience at difference finance-related roles. Maybe even a masters to show a higher GPA. Right now, you're not cut for any good MBA school, whether you want to believe it or not.

Well actually the guy that made a rude comment claimed that George Washington wasn't even a top 50 school so I just showed proof that it was? And can you explain to me people who got into Harvard 2 + 2 or even Wharton in a similar position? See it's people like you that make that sort of triumph all the more beautiful- trolls who simply misread someone's post and typecast as arrogant when they're simply asking how they get into a prestigious program with the odds stacked against them. Yes it's unlikely; however, it is not impossible. Even if it never happens I just feel satisfaction knowing that have been others like me who have been put down on online forums by people such as yourself and still earned admission into a top ten program.

And also I have a lifelong mentor who was in a similar position as myself, but he went to George Mason. Everyone said he wasn't going to get in and some consultants were even speechless. He ended up getting into Harvard Business School and I mean I can send you a message with his Linkedin if you don't believe me.
