Hi to all incoming bankers: Would you say that we're actually a pretty boring folk who just talks about career and deals all day
I know that some of my old "friends" are taking behind my back, saying that I am quite boring since all I can talk about is career or other stuff related to career.
Not an incoming banker but bankers I know do tend to mostly talk (read: complain) about work.
I don't know how you act in social situations, but you can start by worrying less about what people think about you.
If this is really all that important, start following sports or something.
Tell them to shuddup.
Having hobbies and interests outside of finance is crucial to staying sane.
What else is there to do in life but bank things? Isn't everything in life just a pitch that starts out with a super mighty quals page?
