^^What he said. Not sure how this makes a guy (you are a guy right, else you'd be TheQueen) not want to be a part of this. She is pepping up her girls to be more like a girl you'd want (or at least I would want, I don't know you) at a party. Sounds like gold to me and makes me miss the fraternity days.

Agreed. The level of phoniness is beyond ridiculous. I never understood the appeal.

That being said, that girl is a smoke show.

SirTradesaLotAgreed. The level of phoniness is beyond ridiculous. I never understood the appeal.

I mean yes, there is a lot of that in greek life, and particularly among sororities.

But, as I read it, her email was pretty impressively NOT phony. As in, she was directly addressing the function of a sorority, instead of obfuscating via "sisterhood" etc, for which she also called out her sisters. Doesn't mean the email isn't a bitchfest, but I have a feeling that it was idiosyncratically genuine within its context. Even if that genuine-ness concerned matters which you or I might consider superficial.

I couldn't even quite finish the 2nd paragraph of her rant. It was painful to read with all those F words. Did a woman actually write that? That was very unbecoming of her as a lady. Surely as an university student she could have come up with better ways to convey her points without sounding like a drunken sailor, uttering multiple expletives in each sentence.

OK looking at her pic now she seems like a nice Jewish girl. So what is with all the rage? I hope she has a good talk with her rabbi to sort out her anger issues.

Too late for second-guessing Too late to go back to sleep.

I was dying at the comments too: "would wife/10" and "Her and I would breed one hell of a pledge trainer"

My drinkin' problem left today, she packed up all her bags and walked away.

[quote=CRE]DG headquarters is checking into it. The comments make me laugh - like these former sorority girls didn't do anything crazy in college. They were just lucky enough to not have the internet

Wow, the DG alumnae are ridiculous. "As a DG alum, I am so disappointed." "Embarrassed." Blah blah blah. I was in a fraternity--I don't recall a single class act female in a sorority while in college. So this girl cursed in an email. Who cares? Sorority girls every single day and for a half century at least have been binge drinking, cursing like sailors, and spreading their legs. Hilarious that these 30+ year old DGs are "horrified" at this.

Not all of them. Fraternities and sororities started out as literary organizations and to these days some of us actually still manage to uphold ourselves to certain standards.

You do realize that "water boarding" was one of the original 19th century fraternity hazing techniques, right? Yes, what many consider today as torture was a routine form of hazing in the 19th century. A true social fraternity is going to be rowdy and crude. Those "academic" or "honors" fraternities are not actual social fraternities. The 2 concepts are radically, insanely different. Any fraternity house worth its salt on football game day at a large state university is going to be full of underage drinking, sex, vulgarity, and other obscene behavior. It's been that way for many, many, many years. A vulgarity laced email is the least of a social fraternity/sorority's concerns.

It is possible to have a good time without degrading oneself. To DCDepository, Sigma Chi started out as a literary society as are many other fraternities. Just because the type of sorority girls and frat boys you met in college behaved in a certain way does not mean that every members of Greek society everywhere all behaved in the same way. In fact that is exactly the stereotype that gives all fraternity brothers (as opposed to frat boys) a bad name.

Greek letter organizations are microcosms of campus at large and there is specific sub-culture in each chapter. Many people joined fraternities so they can do Animal House reenactments for 4 years while others actually have serious goals and aspirations.

About to make this thread 10x better.

People found her twitter and took pictures of all her tweets, this girl is insane but hilarious, must read.

http://imgur.com/a/bAJhA

About 20 tweets of her being crude, mean etc.

Example: "You call it morning wood, I call it breakfast in bed ;) #yum"

Frank Sinatra - "Alcohol may be man's worst enemy, but the bible says love your enemy."

The problem is, she's saying on the internet--with her real name attached (I think)--things that should be thought and not said out loud. I mean, half the things she's said have gone through all of our heads at some point, but we didn't write it on Twitter. I mean, who hasn't wanted to avoid walking past the migrant Salvadorian workers? I was at 7-eleven today and made a concerted effort to avoid the homeless guy on the other end of the store entrance...

BUT, it's not the kind of thing you write online.

Out of curiousity, when a stripper gives you a lap dance, are you the type of guy who thinks 'she could be the one'?

If you get a full body massage, do you think that the happy ending means you should enter into a long term relationship?

When you bang a hooker, do you want to introduce her to your family?

When you see a slut blowing every guy in the frat, do you think you are in love because she's so nice to your friends?

Just curious.

LHDanHow can I find her number so I can sex her and make her my wife?
if you have even a small level of commitment to this project, it should be easy to find her number. If you can actually sex her, I would be proud. If you married her, I would be disappointed.

U Penn actually has a pretty active Greek culture. In fact when I talked about certain fraternity and sorority members having high standards and not conforming to the whole frat boy/sorostitute stereotype I had quite a few recent Penn graduates I know in mind.

Surprising. What is the largest number of sexual partners you've had in a 24 hour period? Was it when you were a sororistute or later? How many were female?
