How are your virtual REPE internships going so far?

I'm a few weeks into my virutal internship doing acquisitions at a REPE firm and wanted to hear how everyone else is getting on. How busy are you? What are you working on? Any advice you'd like to share in general?

For me personally, some days are certainly more busy than others. I'm getting a decent amount of exposure to live deals and getting familiar with the institutional process, but not getting a lot of deliverables. I think one of the biggest challenges from not being in the office is just not getting to know everyone that well on the team, which may lead to some being less willing to reach out to give work. Curious if others have similar experiences and how they're approaching the internship - wanting to get the most out of it as possible.

I would echo the no face time factor being an issue. I have managed it by being proactive and trying to set up meetings with anyone I meet.

Something I did given the current state of acquisitions and the capital markets was ask my MD if I could get involved in some portfolio management/ asset management work which is definitley more of what you are seeing right now, at least at the shop I am interning at.

Good luck! It is quite a weird time to be an intern for sure.
