How can a high schooler get involved in the investing industry?

I'm currently trying to decide my career choice, and I'm relatively interested in working in the investing/stock industry. I've been day trading for a while and it's been pretty thrilling and a largely successful venture. I now want to get more hands-on experience by interning at a firm - is there a program somewhere designed for only high school students?

A little background info: I'm very good at coding and could probably get into a top-tier college, but I don't want to pursue that career path anymore. Is it a bad decision to leave the tech industry and pursue other passions? I don't particularly enjoy it, although I'm good at it. I'm also a girl, not sure if that would potentially interfere with success in the finance/econ industry
