How do return offers work?
Hi everyone, I was just hoping someone could explain how return offers from internships work. If a student did three internships throughout university (sophomore, junior year, and senior year) at three different IB/PE firms, which year's internship do firms typically extend a FT return offer (assuming you performed well in all three internships)?
For example, if a student did a MM internship in sophomore year, a BB internship in junior year, and a PE internship in senior year, assuming good performance, would all three typically extend FT return offers at the end of their respective internship? Or is it just the junior year firm?

The one you really care about is the summer after junior year.
Right -- but is it possible to receive a return offer from a sophomore year/senior year internship?
Most shops will either give you a FT offer or ask you to come back again the following summer.
If you aren't graduating the next year, the firm will not extend a full-time offer. They might ask you if you want to intern again, but full-time offers are typically only extended in the last internship before graduation.
