Are you trying to network and secure a FT offer within the next few months or what? What are you trying to get out of these chats?

I want to network for an internship offer for summer 2022. I know the recruiting cycle will be around April-August for apps so I just want to have my networked developed before then. These coffee trips are a bit harder for me to do too since I’m at a pretty rural town for college. Around 3-5 hour drives to get to the big cities so I have to plan them out a bit in advance.

April-August of what year? Recruiting is basically over for this year... Also, people don't literally mean get coffee with someone and chat for networking. Yeah if you live within an hour minutes of an office it's not bad (i.e NYU or Columbia in NYC and some surrounding schools in NJ/PA/CT) to try and have them attach a face to a name/voice. But if you're that far away you're going to be calling them on a phone.

Sorry, I mean't recruiting for summer 2022. Been a long day. Thank you for the advice, though.

Assuming you mean Summer 2022 as most banks are already in the middle of interviews with a few finished recruiting for 2021. If so, from personal experience I started early spring semester and tried to get coffee chats pretty much just after spring break. Hope this helps.
