How much does GPA matter for FT recruiting?
Going to be working for MTS Health Advisors and might be attempting to make the move to a BB/EB either after SA or some time into FT. How much does GPA matter, should I enjoy the rest of my time at school or is there a cutoff I should aim for?
Depends on where you go to school and what your major is.
State school, finance and minor in biology

Cant speak to the importance of the GPA, but I don’t see why you can’t let loose and have a good time without shooting for a high GPA.
True i just dont give a fuck about school anymore
bump
Get a decent GPA. 3.5+ would be solid. 3.7 above would do the trick and you wont need to sweat it anymore
Full-time recruiting is so insanely competitive that GPA can be used as a filter pretty quick. There's not an exact number out there, but when I'm going through FT resumes, if there's 50+ people applying all with IB internships, it's very easy to cut those with under 3.7. Bar is lower for SA.
damnit really. Ok so heres the deal I am going to be at a boutique and want to make the move to a BB/EB. How difficult is that when you say FT is incredibly competitive? Like a good boutique tho, think FTPartners.
