How to handle mentioning community college in interview for entry level / internship

I am trying to score an entry-level position/internship in a boutique bank in Los Angeles. I did my undergrad in Economics at a UC that is non-target, but I was a transfer student. Of course, I don't have CC listed on my resume but I worked as an admin assistant in an insurance group during my 2 years at CC to pay expenses and I have that listed on my resume. Any advice on how to handle community college being brought up and spin it in my favor? I looked up the team and most went to a high tier University, the only way I got a chance to get in a call was reaching out to alumni in the bank.

Thanks
