How to not come off as a freak in an interview

I usually never have trouble connecting with people but for some reason I absolutely freeze in interviews and come across as if I can’t perform the most basic interaction. Not being in person definitely makes things difficult for me, does anyone have any tips on how to not act like a fucking weirdo and get comfortable right away in an interview?

This sounds like anxiety. How about when starting the interview, ask them how are you, and when asked how are you back tell them something on your mind or that you recently did. Example: Watched X movie, I loved xyz. Your interviewer will probably have something to add to that convo that will help put you at ease.

Tip 2 if you get really nervous don't look at their camera, only focus on your camera. Should help make you more comfortable. Only disadvantage is that you'll be missing out on their facial expressions.

Really simple, start with your posture. Depending on the style of the interview, you want to come off as both interested but also relaxed. Sit back, smile, and just relax when you talk. They want to hear from you, both from experience and your technicals, but also that you are a social person they want to sit next to for the next year or two.
