How to put together a schedule for a case competition?
I'm receiving a case for a IB competition soon. There are three of us in the team. We will analyze an M&A deal using comps, acq comps and DCF and give strategic advice to the client, either on the buyside or the sell side. We have to put together three valuation models (trading comps, acq comps, dcf), a pitchbook and a memo in four weeks. I was wondering if anyone could give their 2 cents on how I should put together a schedule for the team? How much time should we put into researching the company and the industry? how much time for the models? how much for the writings? how much for reviewing?
Thanks.
Hard to say since at a bank you would be doing that in a couple of days and you would basically have one person putting it all together (analyst). With three people and month to do it, time shouldn't be the issue.
