How to reference referral in cold email for summer internship?
I'm a freshman at a target/semi-target looking for an investment banking summer internship. There is a local boutique investment bank that hires a lot of interns from my school and a friend of mine who interned there last summer introduced me to it. My friend gave me the contact info of one of the guys he worked with and recommended I email this person first. However, what is the proper way to reference a referral in a cold email and also, does this mean I can mention I'm looking for an internship/attach my resume in the first email? Would appreciate any advice/thoughts?
